I’m Hasina, I’m a MA Filmmaking student. I am interested in filmmaking and challenging the traditional ways of making and watching films. TikTok has been an excellent example of accessible ways of storytelling and editing films.

I downloaded TikTok back in 2019 when my friends kept mentioning how it reminds them of Vine, and I’ve used the platform regularly ever since.

I joined the TikTok ethnography project just because I spent so much time on TikTok and thought it would be interesting to analyse it anthropologically. I have recently started posting my own little TikToks and have been exploring what types of audiences they reach and what kind of response that leads to.
