I am currently a Digital Anthropology MSc student at UCL and (since 2017) helping around film programming at Festival Film Dokumenter, Yogyakarta, Indonesia. 

Ever since attending bachelor’s at Universitas Gadjah Mada on Cultural Anthropology, my interest in social media has been growing – with published writings around second accounts or finstas amongst young Indonesian girls and the shared solidarity of the sisterhood. 

Wanting to go beyond Instagram's (still) image-based nature, I downloaded TikTok right after graduating in January 2020. My recent and current project is on TikTok and the sound memes on the platform, which are basically earworms with mimetic features. Looking (and hearing) forward to where the ethnographic scroll will lead me to.
